Around twenty-five thousand residences in south-east Queensland woke up experiencing outages on Monday's dawn after intense storm systems swept through the area, producing powerful gusts reaching over 100 km/h.
Substantial Ice Stones and Broad Destruction
Locals observed large ice chunks reaching sizes of 7cm in some areas. The Bureau of Meteorology verified that multiple regions across the state had been affected by significant hail.

State Emergency Services handled 598 emergency reports across the state, mainly for structural issues but also for fallen timber and flooding.

At one point on Sunday, in excess of 28,000 energy customers in Victoria were lacking electricity.

Humid circumstances were predicted to continue along significant areas of the state's eastern regions this week as a weather pattern continued to pull in damp air against the coastal areas.
Tuesday was forecast to be the heaviest precipitation period, with ongoing storm activity predicted across various areas of both states.

Medical authorities cautioned that there was an higher risk of epidemic thunderstorm asthma across the state's northern country region, especially given the ongoing climate situation.
